CatholicCare Tasmania

CatholicCare Tasmania is committed to Christian principles and continuously strives to be at the forefront in the provision of welface and human services in Tasmania. We respond to individuals, families and the community by offering a broad range of specialised and professional support, counselling, accommodation, emergency assistance, advocacy, education and training thoughout Tasmania. Whilst acknowledging basic rights of people to live with health and security, CatholicCare's services focus on those whose choices in life have been limited with regard to fulfilling relationships, adequate income, housing and meaningful employment options. Our particular strength is in the family-centred approach recognising that whatever impacts on family, impacts on the children in specific ways. It recognises that children can be major casualties in faimly disruption and that listening to the voice of children impacts on the long term consequences for all involved in resolving family conflicts. All services are delivered in such a manner so as to enhance human dignity and freedom, and to enable people to realise their full potential in life. Services are available to all without discrimination on the basis of age, gender, race, religion, physical disability, marital, social or financial status. Our staff are client-focussed, experienced and skilled professionals with qualifications in psychology, social work, counselling and social sciences and take great pride in working together for the marginalised, disadvantaged and vulnerable in Tasmania.
