Did you know that four in ten Australians volunteer?  According to the 2011 Census, the majority of volunteers are working either full-time or part-time, are couples with children aged 5-18 and although slightly more females than males volunteer - the difference is not as significant as you might think.

Volunteers play a vital role in the CSSA network.  The CSSA network consists of 63 member agencies who provide services to over a million people every year.  Their fantastic work is due, in part, to the dedication of our valued volunteers throughout the network.

According to Volunteering Australia's National Survey of Volunteering Issues 2011 (pg 9) people say the main reason they volunteer is "the difference I make to the community" and "The sense of purpose it gives me".

If you are looking to volunteer for CSSA or one of our member agencies - please contact us directly and/or have a look at the list of our members.  They are better known to you in your local community as CatholicCare, Centacare, Marist Youth Care, Sacred Heart Mission, Marymead, St Joseph's Care - just to name a few.

A wide range of opportunities exist for volunteers to assist in a variety of programs and activities.  Our local member organisations would be very pleased to hear from you.
