Since 1983 CatholicCare Social Services (formerly Centacare Toowoomba), committed to Christian principles of social justice has responded to the needs of individuals, families and the community in Toowoomba, Darling Downs and Queensland's South West providing services which enhance human dignity and freedom and enable people to realise their full potential. As the social services arm of the Catholic Diocese of Toowoomba, the Agency is committed to providing programs, professional services and activities that are designed to reflect this philosophy. Current activities focus on: * Safer Families Support Services which includes Court support to victims and perpetrators of family/domestic violence; Individual counselling and support to victims and perpetrators of family/domestic violence; Male perpetrator program; and Early intervention and education to young people affected by family/domestic violence * Family and Relationship Services which includes Family counselling and support for relationship and family issues; Pre-marriage counselling; Support and counselling of individuals and partners surrounding parenting issues; and Support and counselling for identified health and addiction concerns * South West Qld. Counselling Services which include psychological services dealing with Individual counselling and support; Grief and loss counselling; Sexual abuse counselling; Early intervention and education to young people about mental health; Mental Health concerns; and GP referred Psychology Services * Family Relationship Centre Toowoomba activities that include General Counselling services; Family Dispute Resolution Mediation Services and Post-Separation Co-operative Parenting Programs *Toowoomba Migrant and Refugee Services (TRAMS) includes Womens Support Group activities; Youth Settlement Services; Weekly English Classes; Assistance Transport; and Driver Education Workshops and Support *Community Justice and Support that undertakes Murri Court Bail program; Indigenous Youth activities (Whaddup Program); and Indigenous Learners Program.
